Formulr heads to FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO with Red Bull
There’s a reason why the Monaco Grand Prix week is famously known around the world. The way a single event takes over an entire city-state to thrill and entertain fans is incredible. There’s an atmosphere about the whole place – wherever you walk, the spectacle of Formula One touches everything.
Monaco is mapped like a maze, but we soon found the way to our destination – the Red Bull Energy Station.
The Energy Station, with a crew of 120 staff, takes hospitality and entertainment to the next level. Constructed 40 miles away in Italy, the 800-ton floating masterpiece took 21 days to build before being transported in two sections for 6 hours by sea.
The energy station felt like home for our stay in Monaco. Complete with a rooftop pool, three bars, restaurant and motocross stunt performances it was definitely the place to be.
Looking out over the countless super yachts lining the harbour and hearing the sound of F1 engines echoing through the air was a moment to remember.
Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jon Olsen, Zara Tindall, Nicki Shields and WRC’s Andreas Mikkelsen and Thierry Neuville ensured there was plenty to talk about over the weekend.
Kicking off the long list of invitations was the Martini yacht party. Offering decadent Martini cocktails and a dance floor that was the envy of every other boat in the harbour.
But all the fun wasn’t just within the harbour, meetings were held and parties were attended at famous hotels around Monaco. Le Meridien hosted a stunning sunset event, and a special lunch with F1 sponsor king John Hogan at L’Hermitage Hotel revealed the more glamorous side to a simply magical place.
